I have spent a lifetime being overweight. There are no two ways about that. I was born a big baby and I continuously became bigger through every passing year. It became a way of life for me, and although it upset me, and I would occasionally have sleepless nights worrying about the illnesses it would cause me in the future, I had accepted it. However, that doesn't mean I was happy, I was miserable. I tried to change it. I tried every diet imaginable! I lost some weight, never more than a stone and then it would be back on again as soon as I gave up.

New Breakfast Alert!

How did I miss this? A truly wonderful and different breakfast to all the others I have come across. What is more it involves chocolate and strawberries. There is something very refreshing about it and it contrasts completely with what we have been having. The ingredients are as follows. 100ml of Alpro Almond Dark Chocolate milk, as many strawberries as you want and 40grams of Shreddies cereal.

Today I reach the age of 62 years. I have arrived here and feel so grateful to be alive. In case you don’t know, let me explain. In October 2015, I become very unwell. The details are not important. What matters is that on the 16th December 2015 Dr Paul and his magnificent team at Frimley Park Hospital operated on me and gave me a second chance at life.
