Today saw me losing 2 pounds. Considering we had been away for the last weekend and eaten out many, many times this was most gratifying. Unfortunately, Naomi gained half a pound. This means that I am not permitted to celebrate too enthusiastically as that would be thoughtless and unfeeling. But I want to celebrate and enjoy my success. Maybe another time when both of us have lost weight in the same week.
I am now only three and a half pounds away
from my five stones award. I decided to try and manage that in the next two weeks. Two pounds each week to be sure. Oh, that it would happen. Desperate!
Kath told me some of her secrets with the World of Slimming diet. She had hoped for a 4-pound loss this week and was not happy with the two and a half pound loss she actually achieved. She has one particular secret that I had wondered about recently. I might write about it, I might not. Still deciding.
There was much secret chat and skulduggery with Mandy-Lace and myself regarding the publication of my book ‘The World of Slimming’ in the next week. Martina was trying to listen into our conversation. (I spot these things you know). I don’t know how much she heard.
We have planned to do a launch event on March 4th which is when there will be three groups at the Bluebrook Park Hall. However, the book should be live for sale early on this week and I can’t hold back from pressing the ‘Go’ button.
My cover designer has really done a good job on this book and the blurb is excellent. I can’t wait to see the reaction of the group members when they find out that I have published my diary. They don’t even know that I have a Slimming World diary.
There was some consternation halfway through the weigh-in process today when it became evident that there was a new weighing machine. An imposter no less. I must say that I didn’t notice any difference, but some eagle-eyed members did. This created a certain level of fretting and worry. I have always mistrusted the scales, and to be told that they had been changed without so much as a ‘By your leave’ was distressing.
Norma, for her part, demanded a recount and a reweigh. I didn’t get to hear the result of this but Norma seemed consoled after being weighed a second time under the close supervision of Mandy-Lace.
